CADshare, the company focused on transforming aftermarket processes for capital equipment manufacturers, has today announced that its CEO, Chris Acheson, will be a keynote speaker at a major developer conference in Darmstadt, Germany, in October.

The Autodesk Forge™ Developer Conference (DevCon) brings together thousands of professionals interested in how digital applications are transforming design, engineering and manufacturing processes. CADshare is an Autodesk Forge partner and has developed a market leading solution for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that want to digitise and distribute 3D CAD drawings of parts and equipment that underpin aftermarket processes.

According to Chris, “The aftermarket is a great opportunity for OEMs but, until now, technology hasn’t really served their needs. It has been traditionally very difficult to prise 3D parts drawings from the CAD department and into the cloud where they are needed – by the OEMs’ customers and dealer networks. With CADshare’s platform equipment designers and manufacturers can very quickly build parts catalogues in our cloud platform. Then their customers and dealers can access this vast 3D data repository just when it’s needed. This utterly transforms the aftermarket and allows OEMs to monetise parts and aftermarkets processes. I’m really looking forward to telling the CADshare story at the Autodesk Forge DevCon on October 14.”

According to Jim Quanci, Senior Director, Developer Network, Autodesk, “CADshare is a shining example of how we’re working together with partners to create entirely new business processes for complex engineering businesses that rely on 3D content. We’re pleased that Chris will be joining us and sharing his experiences in Darmstadt. CADshare’s solution plugs a very important gap in the OEM aftermarket.”
